Talked with a physical manufacturing factory owner (a large business, a few thousand staff) who is not a tech personSaid thanks to AI they have been able to build 4-5x the commerce integrations with retailers the last 3 months than they did the previous yearThese are basic integrations, but this business could only hire very basic devs to do this work (this is a non-tech company) Now their one main dev could do all this building and they are v happyAll they use is ChatGPT and the owner told me now there’s this new thing called Codex that does wondersVery interesting how much AI is spreading outside of “cutting edge tech” as well
